At first glance, associating with Jones may seem like a foolish idea.

On the other hand, if Napolitano can keep Jones within the frame of Fox's traditional conspiratorial rhetoric, it helps in a number of ways.

1. Jones is very knowledgeable about these topics, so he's usable as an "expert".

2. This gets Jones to cool it in regards to incorporating Fox News and Republicans in general into his fairy tales. He'll be more likely to condemn the left and much less likely to include the right in his rhetoric.

3. Jones is entertaining and fear mongers to an extent that outdoes even Glenn Beck. A network that hosts Glenn Beck can only profit from a tamed Alex Jones.

The key, of course, is to keep Jones in check. Even in these clips, however, he slips in stuff about poisoned water, something that Fox has to be weary of showcasing. Warnings of big government / NWO are satisfactory, but I can't imagine Fox letting him go much further than that.

Seriously I used to listen to him for the sake of knowing what he's focusing on, etc, - cos he's got a 3mil+ listener base now and you constantly run into somebody that frequently listens to him... but I don't care a shit for him if he tones himself down for FOX. He might be really intense (or whatever) but I still expect Alex Jones to be Alex Jones, period.

According to liberals, it is essentially a highly biased right wing media outlet. Actually, moderates probably think so too.

I think so, but that might just be because I watch a lot of Jon Stewart.

From what I hear, I can safely say Glenn Beck is a nut job.
