 Level: 1 CS Original | It appears that this myth was started by Marcel Griaule and Germaine Dieterlan's ethnographic work, which they confabulated a Dogon mythology to mean they had secret knowledge of an invisible star (Sirius B), in which scientists discovered later through a telescope. Robert Temple added to the myth by saying the Dogons could of only gotten this knowledge of Sirius B by being in contact with an advanced alien race from another planet. | |||||
