Still tired of crazy people and conspiracies, but I didn't know who else to ask so here I am. Personality conflicts aside, there are still some seriously smart motherfuckers here (excluding Nanos).

Please watch the following link and tell me your impressions.

http://www.vbs.tv/watch/the-vice-guide-to-travel/bulgarian-dirty-bombs</p>

Problems I have with it:

1) What is the point of blurring "Ivanov's" face when you can clearly see what development project he is involved in?
2) What sort of shell is being shown in the video? To me, it looks like some sort of armor piercing shell, which could mean DU but certainly not a dirty bomb.
3) Why does "Ivanov" have a Russian accent rather than a Bulgarian accent?

Feel free to point out any other inconsistencies you may find.

He does sound Russian, but maybe he moved to Bulgaria - very low restrictions for foreign investors and corporate and income taxes of ~15% make it quite attractive for Europeans to start their companies there. With 2250€ min. investment it's pretty darn cheap, but that shouldn't be the issue for a "nuclear warhead" salesman.

What makes me doubt the credibility of the report is that "Ivanov" agrees to get paid for the interview. With a 80M€ project and supposedly a lot of other ventures going on, his time should be worth more than I see these guys willing to pay for a 8 minute story.

Well, I want to point out that dirty bombs simply do not work at all, and have been tested by pretty much every military with any access to nuclear material. As far as I know, they haven't been really considered a serious weapon (except by people who don't know any better) since after World War II.

every big arms deal in the world starts in bulgaria @ 1 min 14 very speculative statement and would need evidence.

@1 min 30 ish he ties the unknown ivanoff guy to bin laden by the fact he was in cionstruction and was in saudi arabia, speculative and unconfimred claim. mentions september 11th.

@ 5 mins Ivanov says he meets osama bin laden for 3 minutes and he wanted to shake hands and nothing else, next he says he meets with bin ladens 'assisstants' and they want a nuclear power station. So they asked him to set up a waste management company to deal with the contract of collecting radioactive waste from Kuzaudju [the local bulgarian nuclear power station] , they wanted the waste for their own power plant.

Next the conversation continues, but it flows from bin laden to the french journalists story without interupting. Here is where it talks about buying an atomic warhead. But doesnt prove bin laden bought one at all, only the french journalist and noone else.

So in conclusion he is saying a guy sold a nuclear warhead to journalist who wasnt going to use it, and he was apparanetly asked to set up a nuclear waste management company shipping the waste out for bin ladens company.

The rest is speculation as to how many warheads there are, how many were sold and implicates bin laden into the story with no evidence of him being interested in nuclear warheads at all, only waste for a power plant.

There may have likely only been one warhead for sale as ivanov says he buried THE warhead in his mothers back garden, he never mentions he buried more than one or discusses selling another to them.

It also seems like the video is edited to make the producer look shocked, when I think he really looks skeptical.

Here are some images of what trident warheads look like:

http://www.militarypictures.info/nuclear/W-88_warhead.png.html</p>

http://www.globalsecurity.org/wmd/systems/w88.htm</p>

and the size of the trident here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trident_%28missile%29

here are some images of the warhead in the video:

http://img295.imageshack.us/gal.php?g=warheadfromvideo2.jpg

To me the image looks like it could be a tactical warhead with a probable low yield or even no nuclear yield at all, "these types of warheads fell under less scrutiny politically than strategic warheads" according to wikipedia here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tactical_nuclear_weapon</p>

Something like this one is possibly what we could be looking at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/W48</p>

Though it is not stated in the video that the warhead contained its plutonium or radioactive elements, it may be only the casing and mechanisms without its payload.

Hm, judging by the last picture that shows a hand for size perspective, it seems much smaller than the W48 155mm shell.

An interesting point that it might be missing the payload. In which case, would it even be a "dirty bomb"?

It would just be a dummy shell if its payload was not present, plus when they scrapped all warheads internationally, they removed all the payload components and recycled them or dumped them.
So its possible its all a big hooohaa about a blank warhead.

yeah it may just be a next gen of the example I gave, was just showing that they can come in small sizes really, so it is possible it is a tactical nuke warhead, but you would think they would of known if its payload was present and would have mentioned that. The payload is the expensive part too, can cost millions to buy that part.

Gotcha.

You pretty much summarised everything I found wrong with this video but couldn't explain to myself why it was wrong.

Thanks, see y'all later.
