So I was watching a little bit of Glenn Beck tonight like I often do, and his current segment is about exploring the unknown parts of American history. Stuff that we all be 'shocked to not have learned in school'.

Basically, he was talking about how the scientists at the time did not think the Native Americans were savages, but that this has been swept under the rug by [Communists/Progressives/Hitler/whoever].

He talked about how there was evidence that Native Americans might be descended from Jews because they had similar rituals. He also showed some tablets that were unearthed in Native American tombs that were written in Hebrew. Also something about how the pyramids in Giza measure 606 feet (spade? spate?) and that some Native American monuments shared these measurements. As I was watching this, I thought 'Hey, this sounds an awful lot like Mormonism'. Then I remembered 'Wait a minute, Glenn Beck is a Mormon!"

Do you think any of his true followers who are not Mormon will make this same connection? Is there even a connection? Will they simply accept it without realizing it's similarities to Mormonism? Possible backlash from more traditional Christians who other wised would not pay attention to Glenn Beck's religion?

I think he already put out a whole DVD or CD pushing Mormonism. I'd imagine that had more of an impact then a small segment on his show.

Beck pushes Ayn Rand as well, despite the fact that Ayn gamed the immigration laws to stay in the U.S., had at least one abortion, despised family life, professed atheism, and advocated and practiced extramarital sex.
