Oh, this is an awesome link. *favs*

Kinda sad that they don't mention the Satanic Illuminati conspiracy theories in any of these lists though.

What's even more insane are people who believe in the secret 11th conspiracy.

Strange that Obama's birth certificate and global warming hoax are not on the list. I think more right-wingers believe in those than they do 9/11 Truth.

@Muertos: I haven't finished reading the article yet, but maybe it's because those are more recent than the other conspiracies talked about... which seem to make up the 'core' of right wing conspiracy beliefs.

Based on personal experience, it would seem that 911 guys are or eventually become extreme right wingers.

Once you start believing that 911 was an inside job, its more than likely that you will eventually believe the NWO exists. Believing in one conspiracy always leads to more and more.

Also one mindset shared by most conspiracy groups is that the Republican party is not really conservative or rightwing. Implying that unless you're a real conservative you are part of the NWO.

What they mean to say is that the Republican party isn't conservative enough for them, so therefore it must be exactly the same as the Democratic party. Both our parties have some similarities, but they are hardly 'exactly the same'!

Edit:

Scrolling through the comments, the author seems to be getting a lot of flak from leftists who still believe that 9/11 was the result of a vast right-wing conspiracy.

I think the global warming thing is the most legit "CT" of them all..............
However, I don't really think their is a conspiracy just two differing points of view.

I find it interesting that in late August when most of the US is suffering from record heat waves, we hear a whole lot less about the "global warming is a hoax" CT than we do in January, when every Tom, Dick and Brad270 can point to every errant snowflake and claim it's "proof" that global warming is a fraud.

I've seen several news stories in the past 6 weeks stating that temperatures and extreme weather events are entirely consistent with global warming. Extreme winter weather events such as blizzards and cold snaps are also entirely consistent with global warming, but of course you won't hear the CTs admit that.
