Level: 1 CS Original | A friend of mine posted a few times on VC last night and today and found out that ALL of his posts had been removed. I told him to take screenshots of his posts, in case they get removed again (since this has happened to me before), and 10 minutes after he had posted his latest reply it had been removed. (Obviously someone does not have a job) Screenshot: I asked him (Jason) what he had posted before the latest screenshot, and he told me he had discussed how the website is filled with Christian propaganda and how the maintainer of the website is distorting occult imagery and symbolism on purpose. The good thing is though, that one person replied to one of his comments before his posts were removed, so there's proof that he had messages on the website that later got removed. Have you guys tried posting on the website without your messages being removed? I find the website despicable.

Level: 9 CS Original | That site is one of the more entertaining CT sites. And I must give them credit for not looking like a 90's era geocities page. More on topic, the censorship doesn't surprise me at all. I wish I knew a bit more about the symbolism he's talking about, because he just throws the words 'masonic' or 'Illuminati' in front of everything. I think it's a safe assumption to think that he's incorrect about most if not all of this stuff.

Level: 1 CS Original | I find it far from entertaining, because I know people believe what he's saying. If I had the energy and time, I would take all his articles and discuss the symbolism he has labelled as satanic, mindcontrolling and evil just to show people that he has absolutely NO understanding on symbolism, archetypes nor any common sense. I've also heard way too many stories about how people stopped listening to Beyonce, Jay-Z, Kanye and other musicians discussed in his articles because of what he has written about them. He says in some of his conclusions that "they might not be part of the Illuminati, but the symbolism they use is obvious." I mean, what? I'll translate = "If you listen to them you are being mindcontrolled, so stop listening." If you as an example youtube Kanyes latest videos, you'll notice that MOST of the comments are coming from CT's and crazy Christians. What does this say? Isn't this going a bit too far?

Level: 1 CS Original | Sky, so you don't think this is a problem? Or am I misunderstanding? Besides, this has already happened before. 60's and 70's anyone?

Level: 3 CS Original | I don't think morons on the internet who think Jay-Z works for the Illuminati are any kind of threat to society. These are the fringe of the fringe we're talking about here. And I have always found that people who comment on youtube videos are generally the biggest idiots ever, so it doesn't mean much that all of the comments on a Jay-Z video are about the Illuminati. What happened in the 60's and 70's?

Level: 1 CS Original | Sky, in the 60's and 70's (*even in the 50's) a lot of Christians accused Led Zeppelin of being a Satanic group. Their proof was backmasked messages (mind control) heard in songs like "Stairway to heaven" and that Jimmy Page was involved in the occult (Crowley). The Rolling Stones and Mick Jagger were also accused of being part of the same circles, especially when a director approached them to start in a film called "Lucifer Rising", which the RS declined to do because of the fear of the consequences. (In the end, the movie was never done) *In the 50's Elvis Presley was accused (again by Christians) of dancing "immorally" and that his moves would awaken the snake (as in, for them satan). Not to mention that he would corrupt the youth. The Beatles were also immoral and who can forget what happened after John Lennon famously said that they were more famous than Jesus? The Catholic Church banned them. Lots of record burnings were organised and by who? Christians. Special Ed, it's a mix of both eras. The 80's satanic panic has obviously inspired David Icke + Alex Jones with their Satanic ritual nonsense and "there's a satanic underground group that eats your babies", stuff. But the 60's and 70's revolved mainly around the music business and accusing rock stars of being part of evil satanic groups. So like I said, VC is repeating the satanic nonsense from the 60's and 70's and a person who lacks knowledge in BASIC history, be that music history in this case, will not see this. You guys probably might be interested in this website: You'll find pictures on the website (showing the beatles doing the "ok" sign and the "devils" horns) and articles similar to the articles VC writes about. The only difference between this website and VC's is that this one isn't hiding that it's a Christian website, whereas VC tries to downplay it. Also, the quote by David Bowie has never been proven to have been his. Suprised? But what happens if you search for this quote on google? 80% of the websites you'll find will be Christian. Suprise, suprise. -edit- Lol I had to add this from the website mentioned above: He FAILS to mention that Satan was modelled after Pan to convert Pagans into Christianity. Thanks to Christians, when one thinks of Satan we think of a character that has absolutely NOTHING to do with Satan in the first place. But will you find information like this on a website like that? Njet. Just Christian propaganda.

Level: 3 CS Original | I think that backmasking thing was a bigger controversy in the 80's. Like in the 1970's maybe people first started to hear about it but it took off in the 80's. There is a documentary I've seen about a kid who blew his face off with a shotgun and then tried to sue Judas Priest because there were supposedly subliminal messages in their music. Here it is if anyone's interested: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=8514529801031861200#

Level: 1 CS Original | Sil, snakes represent knowledge, rebirth, immortality and many other things. Sky, 'Stairway to Heaven' was released in 1971. Do you have LP's? You can play them backwards on a vinyl player and slow them down, which is how the whole "Led Zeppelin are satan worshippers"-rumors started in the first place. And thanks for posting the documentary. Like I said, we are repeating history here and the ones behind it in the 60's and 70's are the ones behind it today as well. Rammstein, Marilyn Manson, Black Sabbath and so many different bands have been accused by Christians of being Satanic and whatever else. I think the only 'Satanist' in this group is Marilyn Manson, and the guy is a Laveyan. And Laveyan Satanism is a philosophy, not a murderous cult where they get together to eat babies. Subliminal messages = Mind control, and this is what Conspiracy theorists and websites like VC are trying to make people believe music is filled with. The purpose is not to "enlighten" them with this information, but to stop them from LISTENING to music alltogether. Otherwise, how can you protect yourself from these "subliminal messages?" "The world is being controlled by evil men and you can't do anything about it. Have a nice day." - Conspiracy theory. Unless of course you indeed stop listening to music, which is exactly what Christians in the 60's and 70's tried to make people do, but failed miserably. They didn't have the internet back then, but they do now. Things have changed.

Level: 3 CS Original | Yes Stairway to Heaven was released in 1971 but...
I mean I'm sure people had tried playing the record backwards in 1971 but I always imagined it started out as a urban legend started by stoners before churches and people in the government figured it out.

Level: 1 CS Original | Sky, have you seen that 70's show? In it they had a Christian family tell Fez that Satanic messages are found in Rock Music, but Fez only heard (in his language) something along the lines of "I wanna do it to you monkey" :P So yeah, this backmasking has been discussed in the 80's, but it started in the 70's. Now the word backsmasking is rarely used, since it has been updated to mindcontrol.
