Humans just suffer from the delusion that our social relationships and psychological states matter in the greater scheme of things. Now, if we ever get to the point where a politician can control the weather or stop volcanic eruptions or ensure bountiful harvests, then he or she could plausibly claim to exert some control over the world. | |||||
