A brief synopsis of it here with reviews.

And then a pre release version of what is coming in it here [a roxeanne meadows production] <-- Bill should have something to say about this:

http://movie25.com/movies/paradise-or-oblivion-2012.html

Looks like a total rehash of everything they have ever said once again, only with new images and sound track.

I have to wonder if these two ever get bored of having the same conversation about the same ridiculous claims. They should at least understand how other people have gotten sick to death of hearing it and quit repeating themselves at every opportunity.

I watched paradise or oblivion but I do not remember a lot of watch I watched. One good aspect of the movie is that it was short as compared to TZM conspiracy pack. Again I really did appreciate how short the movie is so I was able to sit down and watch the whole thing.

I skimmed through the movie again and there were conspiracy oriented aspects that for example a few "bad" people are intentional causing havoc within our current economic system (check 23:00 starts when they say global elite). Then they ramble on about how people do not have choice, how the current system cannot meet every bodies needs, work is bad for you (check 26:00). They also promote new scfi technology without actually showing real world examples of it matter in fact they show zero real world example of things they made that may possibly be in there new RBE world. Make a claim that our system is failing giving very vague anecdotal evidence as well as being completely one sided (check 3:30). Money is worth less, robots will replace people, and they explain it but they don't offer ideas that may be opposing to money is bad or robots will replace a people (check 15:00).

In short at best this is a science fiction film (also said in reviews on this movie on imbd.com), not so much conspiracy orientated besides pushing there agenda by saying a few people are out to control the masses.

Jim Jesus suggested TVP ripped a lot from a book titled "Utopia or Oblivion: The Prospects for Humanity [Paperback]" by R. Buckminster Fuller.

Just to add More: After following all the TVP lectures and creating my RBE criteria list I have to say there trying to throw darts at a board and see what sticks or there trying to propose ideas that are somewhat agreeable to somebody and then hook them into there group. These people twist things around for instance they quote Einstein a lot and praise him among other people yet they have said in the past that Scientists are not really scientist as these are the same scientist who create the atom bomb, yes the very guy they quote mine they also portray as a bad guy as well. They use these people as bate to get people hooked onto there ideology then they do and say the complete opposite.

TVP and TZM do this a lot they went to such extent for example to create a list which lists famous people who have attended there lectures. There trying to gain more credibility to the outside population by claiming that particular famous people are members, as the only evidence we're given is that a famous person attended some TZM or TVP function therefore the TVP and TZM rational is they must be members. Just because someone attends a function doesn't mean they are a member that's completely dishonest as well as groups like Scientology do the same thing as this as well.

Although TZM and TVP numbers are going away I still see extreme cognitive dissonance within these two groups. Just because you may agree with portions of what they say does not mean everything coming from a group is right, accurate, based on science etc... I'd say TVP and TZM is a big time waster and would advise a person to stay away and not drink the koolaid.

You know that is not the complete movie right Bill ?

It is just a prelude documentary Roxanne made for any new people to get to know what they have planned as content or ideology for the movie.

These people twist things around for instance they quote Einstein a lot and praise him among other people yet they have said in the past that Scientists are not really scientist as these are the same scientist who create the atom bomb, yes the very guy they quote mine they also portray as a bad guy as well.

^^ Good point made and shows the level of hypocrisy they utilise to hook non critical thinking peoples attention and membership.

Also the whole famous people thing wreaks of a money racket.

Actually I was under the impression that this was a documentary (which this isn't really a documentary more like scfi flick) done by a outside group interested in TVP, at least that's what Roxanne portrayed it as (I could be remembering it wrong though).

I know they use this movie as a way to explain TVP that does not have to incorporate using TZM videos. Had no clue from what I see from the links that Roxanne was in complete control in the process of making this movie.

I googled and found that "paradise or oblivion" has a website dedicated to it. It's possible Roxanne is trying to capitalize on the documentary market like Peter is trying to do (gaining a fan base which would incorporate consistent source of funds). If this is a prelude to the bigger movie than my guess as to what the big budget movie incorporating the info I heard throughout the lectures, they want this movie to be learning and action flick thing.

http://www.paradiseoroblivion.com/

One thing I do not get about making the big budget movie is if we keep in mind the 3 phases to make a RBE, the big budget movie is suppose to be made in phase 2, in phase 3 that's when TVP is actually suppose to build the test cities and amusement park to show off what they can do. To me in doesn't make sense to make a big budget multimillion dollar movie when they have nothing, phase 3 should be phase 1. Phase 2 which is to raise awareness would stay the same then phase 3 would be making a multimillion dollar big budget movie. Why would someone promote something that's not even being tested yet... Investors invest in things that are proven not on things that have not proved themselves yet. TVP tries to come off that it's based on science but it's really delving into being unproven science which leads to TVP being labeled under Pseudoscience.

Me and another person were discussing TVP being Pseudoscience and I have come to the conclusion that it is more accurately defined as being Pseudoscience (TZM is still based and fueled by conspiracy theory type thinking though), although TVP still uses conspiracies to justify and push there cause. On SP we have often discussed TZM and TVP together and often labeled them as conspiracy oriented groups with flawed economic understandings but since the split I think we can label TZM a conspiracy theory orientated group and TVP Pseudoscientific oriented group. The conspiracy theory loonacy that Peter Joseph/TZM believed in often overshadowed the other glaring flaws of TVP being Pseudoscientific. So is someone does not believe in conspiracy theory's loonacy, well then they can believe in Pseudoscience within TVP because it is the lesser of the two evils.

http://www.thevenusproject.com/en/the-venus-project/aims-a-proposals

Aims and Proposals
It is common in our mass-media to read and to hear commentators talk about the number of social problems that face us today, such as global warming, destruction of Earth's environment, unemployment, crime, violence, poverty, hunger, and the population explosion. Yet, how often do we hear of workable plans for alleviating many of these social problems? It is relatively simple for people to criticize society, however it's much more difficult to identify and implement plans to resolve the problems.

The Venus Project is a veritable blueprint for the genesis of a new world civilization, one that is based on human concern and environmental reclamation.

The plans for The Venus Project offer society a broader spectrum of choices based on the scientific possibilities directed toward a new era of peace and sustainability for all. Through the implementation of a resource-based economy, and a multitude of innovative and environmentally friendly technologies directly applied to the social system, The Venus Project proposals will dramatically reduce crime, poverty, hunger, homelessness, and many other pressing problems that are common throughout the world today.

One of the cornerstones of the organization's findings is the fact that many of the dysfunctional behaviors of today's society stem directly from the dehumanizing environment of a monetary system. In addition, automation has resulted in the technological replacement of human labor by machines and eventually most people will not have the purchasing power to buy the goods and services turned out.

The Venus Project proposes a system in which automation and technology would be intelligently integrated into an overall holistic socio-economic design where the primary function would be to maximize the quality of life rather than profits. This project also introduces a set of workable and practical values.

This is in perfect accord with the spiritual aspects and ideals found in most religions throughout the world. What sets The Venus Project apart, however, is that it proposes to translate these ideals into a working reality.

XX Phase One XX
The first phase of The Venus Project's long-term plans is already underway. Jacque Fresco, futurist, inventor, industrial designer and founder of The Venus Project and his associate Roxanne Meadows have completed the construction of a 25-acre research center in Venus, Florida to help present the proposals of The Venus Project. Videos, CDs, posters, pamphlets, models, renderings and books such as "The Best That Money Can't Buy: Beyond Politics, Poverty, & War", have been created to help raise awareness about this project and its many proposals.

XX Phase Two XX
Phase Two includes the production of a full-length feature film that will depict how a world embracing the proposals advanced by The Venus Project would work. This film would provide a positive vision of a peaceful society in which all human beings form a global family on planet Earth. A civilization in which all people are engaged in the pursuit of a better understanding of the world they share. This film has been designed to be an entertaining and educational experience for both adults and children.

XX Phase Three XX
To test its designs and proposals, The Venus Project is working towards putting its ideals into practice by the construction of an experimental research city. Blueprints for most of the initial technologies and buildings have begun. Fund-raising efforts are currently under way to help support the construction of this first experimental city. This new experimental research city would be devoted to working towards the aims and goals of The Venus Project, which are:

Realizing the declaration of the world's resources as being the common heritage of all people.
Transcending the artificial boundaries that currently and arbitrarily separate people.
Replacing money-based nationalistic economies with a resource-based world economy.
Assisting in stabilizing the world's population through education and voluntary birth control.
Reclaiming and restoring the natural environment to the best of our ability.
Redesigning cities, transportation systems, agricultural industries, and industrial plants so that they are energy efficient, clean, and able to conveniently serve the needs of all people.
Gradually outgrowing corporate entities and governments, (local, national, or supra-national) as means of social management.
Sharing and applying new technologies for the benefit of all nations.
Developing and using clean renewable energy sources.
Manufacturing the highest quality products for the benefit of the world's people.
Requiring environmental impact studies prior to construction of any mega projects.
Encouraging the widest range of creativity and incentive toward constructive endeavour.
Outgrowing nationalism, bigotry, and prejudice through education.
Eliminating elitism, technical or otherwise.
Arriving at methodologies by careful research rather than random opinions.
Enhancing communication in schools so that our language is relevant to the physical conditions of the world.
Providing not only the necessities of life, but also offering challenges that stimulate the mind while emphasizing individuality rather than uniformity.
Finally, preparing people intellectually and emotionally for the changes and challenges that lie ahead.

Within the experimental city, a theme park is also planned that will both entertain and inform visitors about the possibilities for humane and environmentally friendly life-styles planned by The Venus Project. It will feature intelligent houses; high-efficiency, non polluting transportation systems; advanced computer technology; and a number of other innovations that can add value to the lives of all people - in a very short period of time.

A circular city would be a transitional phase and could evolve from a semi-cooperative money-oriented society to a resource based economy. This could be the prototype for a series of cities to be constructed in various places throughout the world. The rate of progress will depend on the availability of funds raised during the early stages and the people who identify with , participate in, and support the aims and direction of The Venus Project.

As these new communities develop and become more widely accepted, they may very well form the basis of a new civilization, preferably through the process of evolution rather than revolution.

No one can actually predict the future. We can only extrapolate on present information and trends. Population growth, technological change, worldwide environmental conditions, and available resources are the primary criteria for future projections.

There is no single philosophy or point of view whether religious, political, scientific, or ideological, that someone would not take issue with. We feel certain, however, that the only aspects of The Venus Project that may appear threatening are those which others project onto it.

The Venus Project is neither Utopian nor Orwellian, nor does it reflect the dreams of impractical idealists. Instead, it presents attainable goals requiring only the intelligent application of what we already know. The only limitations are those which we impose upon ourselves.

Pseudoscience
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pseudoscience

Pseudoscience is a claim, belief, or practice which is presented as scientific, but does not adhere to a valid scientific method, lacks supporting evidence or plausibility, cannot be reliably tested, or otherwise lacks scientific status.[1] Pseudoscience is often characterized by the use of vague, exaggerated or unprovable claims, an over-reliance on confirmation rather than rigorous attempts at refutation, a lack of openness to evaluation by other experts, and a general absence of systematic processes to rationally develop theories.
A field, practice, or body of knowledge can reasonably be called pseudoscientific when it is presented as consistent with the norms of scientific research, but it demonstrably fails to meet these norms.[2] Science is also distinguishable from revelation, theology, or spirituality in that it offers insight into the physical world obtained by empirical research and testing.[3] Commonly held beliefs in popular science may not meet the criteria of science.[4] "Pop" science may blur the divide between science and pseudoscience among the general public, and may also involve science fiction.[4] Pseudoscientific beliefs are widespread, even among public school science teachers and newspaper reporters.[5]
The demarcation problem between science and pseudoscience has ethical political implications, as well as philosophical and scientific issues.[6] Differentiating science from pseudoscience has practical implications in the case of health care, expert testimony, environmental policies, and science education.[7] Distinguishing scientific facts and theories from pseudoscientific beliefs such as those found in astrology, medical quackery, and occult beliefs combined with scientific concepts, is part of science education and scientific literacy.[8]
The term pseudoscience is often considered inherently pejorative, because it suggests something is being inaccurately or even deceptively portrayed as science.[9] Accordingly, those labeled as practicing or advocating pseudoscience normally dispute the characterization.[9] See also List of topics characterized as pseudoscience.
