Great!! Although the article doesn't mention the role of vaccination in this, this is what I found on wikipedia:
[Dr. Walter Plowright was awarded the World Food Prize in 1999 for developing a vaccine against rinderpest. The Plowright vaccine was developed to the RBOK strain of the rinderpest virus.[15]
In 1999, the FAO predicted that with vaccination, rinderpest would be eradicated by 2010]

I just sent this to an antivaxer as I like to rub stuff like this in his face. Maybe one day he'll straighten out
