I don't know. I thought Rand would crash after saying the same thing. Yet it seems we will be forced to endure his stupidity for a long time. I also believe that, with the exception of Romney the Republican field is batshit crazy enough that anyone even Paultard could win the nomination.

There's a big difference between running for a state election and a national election.

It's not the whole Civil Rights act, it's the Private Property part of it. And as a person of color, it's one of the few things I agree with Ron Paul on. I really don't care for Ron Paul much, but I can't stand shallow generalizations saying because he's a private property advocate, that he's for segregation. That's lazy, and it's bullshit. He's got many other flaws I don't agree with him on, but this isn't one of them. And there's many black people, a lot who are my family, most who went through segregation who agree with him on this issue.

That being said, the guy is unelectable in the first place, so I highly doubt anyone would have to worry about this anyway.

^ I think the point is that he's opposing any aspect of it at all. Let's just call it like it is: if you're stupid enough to say you oppose any part of the civil rights act, you're not smart enough to become president. People don't give a shit any sort of philosophical garbage regarding property rights, if you say "I don't like X about the civil rights act" or as Ron Paul said he wouldn't have voted for it, you're automatically put in to the "do not vote for racist asshole" pile. It's one of the reasons he'll never win.
