Found a nice and cheap solution to making your own Burgerking whopper as the whoppers are usually around $3 and some change per burger. It's like making a typical hamburger with some minor things added to it.

----------------------------------

If you're like me, you love the taste of the Burger King Whopper. You love it, but you are wary of the calories and fat you ingest by eating it. It's charbroiled, but it's still fast food.

Luckily, it's entirely possible to make a Whopper at home that tastes more or less exactly like the real thing. And, you get to control the quality of the ingredients that go into it. It's also easier on the wallet.

Burger King menu prices aren't out of this world, but they can still add up pretty fast. So, what better Burger King menu item to master than the world famous Whopper?

To make a Whopper at home you'll need the following ingredients:

· 1 hamburger bun with sesame seeds
· ¼ pound of ground beef
· Pinch of salt
· 3 thin slices of dill pickle
· 1 tsp. of ketchup
· 3-4 thinly sliced onion rings
· 2 tomato slices
· ¼ cup chopped lettuce (iceberg is fine)
· 1 tbsp. mayo

Since this is a Burger King recipe that's charbroiled, you'll also need a grill. So, gather all your stuff and head out to the barbecue for the next step.

1) Now, you'll need to turn your barbecue on to high.
2) Take your ground beef and make a relatively thin patty that's a little larger than the bun
3) Salt each side of the patty and grill it for 2-3 minutes per side
4) While you're doing this you can toast the bun, face down in a hot pan

Once the burger is ready, assemble everything in this order:

Bottom Bun - Hamburger Patty - Pickles - Ketchup - Onion - Tomatoes - Lettuce - Mayo - Top Bun

All that's left after that is to dig in and enjoy! I guarantee this is a Burger King recipe that you will love and that will be much kinder to your waistline if you make it at home.
