Level: 5 CS Original | "This is just not the kind of guy who gets murdered." Newark police have identified the body discovered on New Year’s Eve at the Cherry Island Landfill as 66-year-old John P. Wheeler of New Castle. Wheeler, who lived part time in Old New Castle, worked as a defense consultant and had a long and decorated military career that involved working in the Reagan and George W. Bush administrations. Wheeler also served as chairman of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund, which built the wall in Washington, D.C. His death has been ruled a homicide. Newark police have had a crime scene unit at Wheeler’s home at 108 West Third St. in Old New Castle all day today, with crime-scene tape roping off the prominent three-story brick home with black shutters. Friends and neighbors were shocked to learn Wheeler had been murdered. “This is just not the kind of guy who gets murdered,” said Bayard Marin, a Wilmington attorney who represented Wheeler. "This is not the kind of guy you find in a landfill.” Wheeler worked in Washington, D.C. and investigators have determined he was on an Amtrak train from Washington to Wilmington on Tuesday, said Newark police Lt. Mark Farrall. “The last place they can put him is getting off the Amtrak train in Wilmington,” Farrall said. Neighbor Jeanne Thomas, who lives around the corner from Wheeler’s house on South Street, rented storage space from in a big old red barn behind his house. “He was wonderful,” Thomas said. “We’re just shocked. He was very humble.” During the Reagan administration, he founded the Vietnam Veterans Leadership Program, an effort to link war veterans with employment opportunities. In 2009, Wheeler and his wife Katherine Klyce, filed a lawsuit to stop construction of a home near the parking lot of Battery Park in Old New Castle. Wheeler and Klyce opposed construction of a new home being built by Frank and Regina Marini. The Marinis wanted to build a two-and-a-half story home across the street from Klyce and Wheeler on the 100 block of West Third Street. It would have blocked Klyce's and Wheeler’s view.

Brainwashing you for money Level: 15 CS Original | Just goes to show no matter who you are, there are people who can and will murder you. Just because he had a specific job in the past does not mean thats the reason he was murdered, could just be someone he personally pissed off in the past, or someone randomly picked him for a robbery/murder. Either way its a murder case. I am waiting for people to make a CT up about him going to spill the beans and be a whistleblower who has been silenced [I called it first here]. Its probably more likely a whackadoo Conspiracy Theorist who would have murdered him if you want to invent a storyline up for it though.

Level: 5 CS Original | Same, I can't wait to see what the CT'ers turn this into. Though I have to say, the details of this murder are pretty odd and disturbing. Who kills a Vietnam vet, whom reportedly is a really nice and wonderful guy, and dumps him in a landfill? I believe we've got a real sicko here.

Brainwashing you for money Level: 15 CS Original | Clearly not that credible when the news item doesnt even provide the report they claim the Russians had exposing the whole CT. Seriously I knew this would happen but I didnt expect them to tie it to these recent speight of animal deaths..haha wow I am impressed by their predictability and unimpressed by their lack of creativity.

Genuine American Monster Level: 70 CS Original | I think that's how a lot of these conspiracy theories start. Some nut totally invents a "Russian source" or something and then its all over the damn Internet like the plague.

Level: 9 CS Original | EU Times also published an article about the USA's war with Southern Antarctic UFO's. Original source? Sorchaa Faal. The thing is, EU times doesn't really seem like a conspiracy rag overall... just a generic online paper with your entertainment section and everything. Maybe we should write a letter to the editor.
