She made one of her usual tirades against Islam on her private Facebook page. I responded with something progressive, and I got this hateful crap in my inbox (and of course she blocked me because she's far too intelligent to need a response - she already knows she's right):

Sorry, Brenton, but you do not know what you are talking about and are very much asleep when it comes to Islam. Moreover, your dhimmi position is very dangerous not only to you but also to me and my family, as you allow this vile ideology in the back door, like Rahab the whore in the story of Joshua.

Islam is responsible for the murders of some 270 million people, and you are going to defend and support it? That is absolutely reprehensible.

You need to study the subject, rather than going around making fallacious remarks about either Islam or my understanding of it. Moreover, I do not want anyone on my FB justifying this sick, infidel-hating and woman-enslaving cult of violence and death that was founded by a murderous child rapist.

You're trying to justify THIS? Have you lost your mind? Or just your morality? If you are justifying THIS human-hating ideology, which manifests itself in the sickest, most abusive nations on Earth, you need not wait to give up your spot on my FB page. I have NO time for someone who would for one instance try to defend such indefensible human-rights abuses as you have done here. Absolutely appalling.

Just one more example of an individual that buys into the ridiculous hate-filled caricature that many in the West (and the extremists themselves) have turned Islam into.

For a religion that gave women property rights (among other things) before such notions had even began to enter the Western mind...

You'd think that people who attach the label feminist to themselves would likewise be intelligent enough to seperate 'the real' Islam from the cartoon sketch created by extremists and blind-sighted Westerners.

That's my contribution of edification to the forum for this month.

Queen Rania (youtube.com/queenrania) should speak in the West more often and open the massive can of whoop-ass that's needed on mentalities like Acharya's.
